Starting condition

What needed to change

Prospective clients and active project teams required related but distinct digital experiences.

The public site had to communicate complex robotic automation work to technical and commercial audiences, remain responsive and stay faithful to DesignPro's corporate identity. Behind secure access, clients needed a more organised way to view project information. The challenge was to give both environments a consistent level of precision without suggesting that the portal replaced the wider engineering, project management or communication work around a machine build.

The decisions

What was decided, and why

The thinking, as it was published.

  2. Typography, navigation, buttons, forms and responsive components were designed as reusable parts rather than one off screens. On the public site, that system gives DesignPro's automation capability a disciplined presentation. In the portal, the same principles provide a structured space for client information and milestone visibility. The visual language remains precise and appropriately technical without resorting to exaggerated technology effects.

  3. We reviewed the existing style guides, defined digital hierarchy and interaction rules and developed components for navigation, buttons, forms and content states. Public pages and portal interfaces were tested across devices as the system developed. Attention stayed on secure access, understandable information structure and consistent application, ensuring the final experience supported both supplier evaluation and ongoing project communication within the agreed scope.

How the work moved

Corporate guidelines were translated into reusable components, then tested across responsive pages and secure portal journeys.

Explaining technical capability?

Technical buyers want the detail and everyone else wants the summary, usually from the same page. Deciding what goes where is most of the work.
